I’m a portrait photographer specialising in actors headshots, and also a freelance Casting Director (www.jonathanlyons.co.uk).
Since headshots are an essential part of the initial casting process - I understand the importance of ensuring your headshot has impact, whilst remaining a true reflection of you and your character….I also understand how daunting and pressurised a headshot session can feel (I trained as an actor) - which is why we will discuss and plan the session before beginning, and review photographs throughout the session.
The session will last around 2hrs (but we wont stop until we are both happy), during this you will have time to change clothes, adjust hair and make up, and we will take around 400-450 photographs.
Shoots take place near London Bridge using natural light.
After the session you will receive a contact sheet of approx 80 proofs to select your final headshots. These selected images will be retouched and returned to you digitally, in full colour or black & white, as a 10x8 ready for print and web upload.
Note on retouching headshots need to be a true and honest representation of you, which is why I keep it simple. Removing anything which is temporary or a distraction (stray hairs | skin blemishes) is important, as is balancing colours and tones - the retouching will enhance the life in the photo.
